DEAN GORDON
Art Director
Dean Gordon is an art director at Sony Pictures Animation. He most recently art directed the studio’s 2018 Academy Award®-winning feature, “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” and is currently working on the highly-anticipated sequel, “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse."
Gordon joined Sony Pictures Animation in 2007, and has since served as a visual development artist on the studio's two “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” films and the Aardman co-production “Arthur Christmas," as well as art director on “Smurfs: The Lost Village.”
Gordon worked for 16 years at the Walt Disney Animation Studios as an art director (Fantasia / 2000's "Pines of Rome" segment) and background supervisor artist on many features including “Aladdin,” “Beauty and the Beast” and “The Little Mermaid.”
Gordon started his career in television as a background color stylist and background artist on series such as “A.L.F.,” “BraveStarr,” “She-Ra: Princess of Power” and “Ghostbusters.”
Gordon graduated from the Art Center College of Design.
